February 1 – Polyera has achieved a certified world-record 9.1% efficient polymer/fullerene organic solar cell in an inverted bulk heterojunction architecture using its newest proprietary ActivInk® PV2000 semiconductor material.

January 25 – Polyera's Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Antonio Facchetti was recently elected a Fellow for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world's largest general scientific society.

December 15 – Polyera, imec, and international chemical group Solvay have achieved a new world-record efficiency of 8.3% for polymer-based single junction organic solar cells in an inverted device stack.
